Why Your Sales Forecast is Off

Have you set yearly goals? Have you broken those goals down into smaller goals to obtain the larger ones? If not, maybe this is why your sales forecast is off. Some people may say your forecast is unrealistic; however, nothing is unrealistic if you have a well thought out plan and a way to achieve that plan.

Do you have negative habits that need to be broken? You may not see them as negative; however, take a look at some of the most secularly successful people in history, and they all had some of the same positive habits in common. Take a moment to look at some of the business greats such as Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyler Perry just to name a few, and you will notice a pattern; they got rid of their negative traits, changed their mind sets, and then they rose to another level.

Are you in a negative environment such as a toxic relationship? Then you may need to reevaluate that relationship to see how it is affecting you as a person. Those types of relationships can have a deep impact on our productivity and our mindset. It may be hard to step away from a person you have a deep affection for who is the source of the negative energy; yet, to step away from such people will actually help you to thrive. Only then can you gain fulfillment and purpose within yourself, thus causing your outer world to thrive.

When was the last time you took some “me time” and mentally sorted out your future? We’re not just talking about your secular future but your spiritual future, your emotional future, your future on how you want your health to be, and more. Your financial life cannot be truly successful until you have the rest of your life in order. So take time to think about how you want your life to look like a year from now in all areas of life, and write those things down.

Write down what you want your sales to look like a month from now. Map out plans to achieve those goals. You may need to attend some seminars, set up a vendor table at an entrepreneur event, join your local chamber of commerce; whatever, it is, think outside the box, and go for it, and when you reach that goal, sit back down and set another goal doing the same type of plan all over again.
